Biography

I have been teaching for 14 1/2 years. I started at McCoy High School (3 1/2 months) and went to Jenner School (8 months) followed by Parkside School (13 1/2 years) before coming to Ralston. I am very happy to be part of the Ralston community and look forward to a fantastic year with the wonderful students here.

I am the Grade 5 homeroom teacher. I teach grade 5 L.A., Math, Gym and Science. I also teach the Grade 6/7 Gym class. I expect my students to work hard and put forth a good effort in class. I am truley looking forward to a great year. Humor is a big part of my classroom. I am one of the Gym guys at Ralston. I have had numerous business experiences prior to teaching. Being self-employed has given me a wide variety of experiences that I believe aid me in my daily teaching duties.

I was born and raised in Calgary. Long live the Flames and Stampeders (I feel bad for Mr. Hawley and Mrs. Squires). I am married to a wonderful lady named Karen. We have one daughter named Brandi who is married to Wes (Brittney would love me for a dad but, sorry). They live in Calgary where the rest of my family lives (3 brothers and mom and dad). We have a small Maltese dog named Buddy. He is the actual ruler of our house.

I enjoy golfing and camping in the summer and long leisurely rides on our Harley. A nice barbequed steak tops off the day. We both enjoy travelling when ever we can. Mexico and New York are always top of our list. My parents are English and Scottish which gives me some connection with the parents and student body at the school.
